Stamping INKspirations blog hop - Color Challenge

Hoi en welkom bij de Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop onder de zielende leiding van de geweldige Angie McKenzie. Angie heeft deze maand als thema een Color Challenge samengesteld en wel de volgende.

Hi and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog hop organized by the amazing Angie McKenzie. The theme of this month is a Color Challenge. Angie made this challenge for us.

We "moesten" minimaal 3 van bovenstaande kleuren gebruiken (vlnr So Saffron, Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, Shaded Spruce), maar zelf vond ik het leuker om te proberen of ik alle kleuren zou kunnen gebruiken. En dat is gelukt! Ik vond het echt een super uitdaging en graag hoor ik van je of het mij gelukt is.

We "had" to use at least 3 of the colors mentioned above (from left to right: So Saffron, Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, Shaded Spruce), but I thought it was more fun to try to use all the colors. And I did!!! It was amazing to make this challenge and I love to hear if you think I succeeded.

Op een stuk Fluid 100 watercolor cardstock heb ik deze super schattige bloempotten gestempeld uit de Scenic Garden stempelset en ingekleurd met alle kleuren van de challenge. Voor de bloempotten zelf heb ik bijvoorbeeld een combinatie gemaakt van de So Saffron met de Sweet Sorbet. En voor de achtergrond heb ik een combinatie gemaakt van de Shaded Spruce met Tahitian Tide. Het was een uitdaging, maar ik ben super blij met het eindresultaat.

On a piece of Fluid 100 watercolor card stock I stamped these flower pots with the Scenic Garden stamp set and I colored it with all the colors of the challenge. For the pots itself I used for example So Saffron and Sweet Sorbet. For the background I used a combination of Shaded Spruce and Tahitian Tide. It was a challenge but I am so excited about the end result.

Around the World on Wednesday - Techniek

Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday blog hop. Het thema van deze maand is een Techniek Challenge. Er zijn duizenden technieken die je voor je kaarten kunt gebruiken, maar vandaag staat embossing in de hoofdrol. En ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat het ook één van mijn favoriete technieken is.

Hi and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday blog hop. The theme of this month is a Technique Challenge. From all the techniques there are, today we put Embossing in the spotlight. I have to be fair, this is also one of my favorite techniques.

Voor deze kaart heb ik gekozen voor "droge" embossing. Met de prachtige gratis te verdienen Hive 3D Embossing folder heb ik eerst de achtergrond embost en daarna heb ik met de Blending Brush wat kleur toegevoegd. Net om de achtergrond even wat extra's te geven. Met de gratis Sale-A-Bration stempelset Lieve Bloemen heb ik de bloem gestempeld en deze heb ik ingekleurd met de Watercolor Pencils. De bloemen zelf heb ik op een restant stukje Basic White cardstock gestempeld en ingekleurd. Daarna heb ik deze uitgeknipt en met Stampin' Dimensionals op de kaart geplakt. Helaas zie je het niet op de foto, maar mijn Wink of Stella kon natuurlijk ook niet ontbreken.

For this card I have chosen to do some dry embossing. With the amazing free Hive 3D embossing folder I embossed the background and after that I added some color with a Blending Brush. Just to give it some extra interest. With the Dutch version of the free Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set Beautifully Happy I stamped the flower and colored it with the Watercolor Pencils. I stamped the flowers once more on a different piece of paper, colored them and cut them out. After that I added them to the first flower I stamped. Unfortunately you cannot see it on the picture, but last but not least I added some Wink of Stella.
