Around the World on Wednesday blog hop - technique challenge

Hoi en welkom bij de maandelijkse en Internationale Around The World on Wednesday blog hop. Het thema van deze maand is een techniek uitdaging en wel "Watercolor Smooshing". Google translate vertaalt dit als Aquarel smoezen, dus ik ben bang dat ik niet helemaal duidelijk kan maken hoe je dit doet. Je neemt bijvoorbeeld een clearblock of een stuk Window Sheet en daar stempel je wat inkt op. Met de Stampin' Spritzer spuit je daar wat water op en je brengt dit geheel over op een stuk cardstock/watercolor papier. Als je het totaal niet erg vindt om inkt op je handen te krijgen, dan is dit echt een super leuke techniek.

Hi and welcome to the monthly and International Around The World on Wednesday blog hop. The theme of this month is "Watercolor Smooshing". With this technique you put some ink on a piece of Window Sheet or for example a clear block. After that you spritz some water with the Stampin' Spritzer and you "stamp" on a piece of card stock or watercolor paper to make a background. If you don't mind getting a bit of ink on your hands this technique is amazing to do.

Zoals ik al schreef kun je voor de Smooshing technique verschillende dingen gebruiken zoals een Window Sheet of een clearblock, maar ook bubbeltjes plastic en zoals in mijn geval een Dauber met een stukje vershoudfolie erover heen. Door een Dauber te gebruiken, kun je de "vlekken" iets beter controleren. Op deze manier lijkt het net of de vlekken de weerschijning van de lampjes in het donker zijn.

As I wrote earlier you can use different things for the Smooshing technique. Not only a Window Sheet or a clear block but also bubble wrap or a Dauber with some cling film. By using the Dauber you have a little bit more control to make the "spots". Using the Dauber like this it almost looks like the reflections of the lights in the night.

Ik vond dit echt een hele leuke technique om te gebruiken en ik denk dat ik hem nog veel vaker zal gaan gebruiken.

I really liked this technique and I think I will use this more often.

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - Sounds of the Season

Hoi en welkom bij de maandelijkse internationale Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop georganiseerd door Angie McKenzie. Het thema van deze maand is "Sounds of the Season" oftewel het "Geluid van het Seizoen". Sinterklaas is net achter de rug, dus heel Nederland maakt zich klaar voor het feest van de maand, Kerst. En daarom heb ik ook juist dit presentje gemaakt. Ik wilde graag iets anders laten zien dan een kaartje.

Hi and welcome to the monthly and International Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop organized by Angie McKenzie. The theme of this month is "Sounds of the Season". Sinterklaas* just ended and now we are all preparing for Christmas in the Netherlands. And that is why I made this little presents. And I just wanted to show you something else than a card.

*Sinterklaas is a Dutch celebration and a kind like Santa Clause (in the Netherlands there originally is no Santa Clause). Sinterklaas is bringing all the kids presents with his Pieten (helpers) and he is coming from Spain to the Netherlands by boat. Sinterklaas is always riding his horse Ozosnel. A special horse that can ride on the roofs of our houses. Do you see some comparisons?

Tijdens verschillende momenten van het jaar en dus ook de Kerstdagen heb ik de traditie om verschillende mensen een klein cadeautje te geven. Gewoon een kleinigheidje om mensen te bedanken en hun te laten weten dat ik ze waardeer. Uiteraard zelf gemaakt. Ook hebben wij aankomende weer een Stampin' Up! evenement en ook daar geven wij elkaar dit soort cadeautjes.

Throughout the year and also with Christmas I love to hand-out little presents to for example co-workers. Just something small to say thank you and let them know I appreciate them. They are always handmade. This week there is also a small Stampin' Up! event and there we also give each other small presents like this.

Voor het evenement heb ik 50 swaps gemaakt met de Beary Christmas design papier. In de swap zit een lolly in de vorm van een hart. Gewoon een kleinigheidje. Ik hoop dat ze hem leuk vinden.

It is the month of giving, so for the event I made 50 swaps with the Beary Christmas Design Paper. Inside the swap there is a heart-shaped lollipop. I hope everyone likes it.
