Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Monochroom Kleuren Challenge

Hoi en welkom bij de maandelijkse Around The World On Wednesday Blog Hop. Het thema van deze maand is een Monochroom kleuren Challenge. Dit betekent dat je een project maakt met één en dezelfde kleur met hooguit een kleur naar links of rechts in het kleurenwiel.  

Hi and welcome to the monthly Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. The theme of this month is a Monochrome Color Challenge. This means you make a project with one kind of color. You can choose the color on the left side or the right sight in the color wheel.  

Als basis van de kaart heb ik het twee kleurig kaartkarton gekozen welke redelijk nieuw is in het assortiment. Dit kaart karton heeft aan beide kanten van het papier een andere variant van de kleur. De basis is Old Olive en daarbij heb ik een heel klein beetje gecombineerd met Granny Apple Green en Mossy Meadow.  Dit is mijn kaartje geworden.

As a base of the card I used the Two Toned card stock which is fairly new to us. This card stock has two different tones of one color, so ideal for a monochrome color challenge. The base is Old Olive and I combined it just a little bit with Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow. This is my card.

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - technique

Hoi en welkom bij de maandelijkse Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. Het thema van deze maand is een techniek en wel "watercoloring". Dit kun je op heel vele verschillende manieren doen door bijvoorbeeld inkt navullingen te gebruiken, de watercolor potloden of de pastelkrijtjes. Ik heb voor iets anders gekozen. Kun jij raden wat?

Hi and welcome to the monthly Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. The theme of this month is a technique. Watercoloring. You can do this in many different ways by using for example the ink refills, the watercolor pencils or the Pastels. I have chosen to use something else. Can you guess what?

De watercolor techniek die ik heb gebruikt om de achtergrond te maken, is door met de Stampin' Write markers, in dit geval met set met de Subtles kleuren, op een clear block F te tekenen en daarna te spritzen met wat water. Dit geheel heb ik "gestempeld" op een stukje Watercolor papier en dit is het resultaat. Met de Flowers of Beauty stempelset heb ik op deze achtergrond eerst een aantal takken en bloemen gestempeld. Ik heb de inkt wel eerst een keertje afgestempeld om het in dezelfde sfeer te houden als de subtiele achtergrond. Met de Sketched Butterflies stansen heb ik een paar vlinders uitgstanst en deze nog toegevoegd aan de kaart. De tekst komt uit de Nederlandse stempelset "Markant omrand".

The watercolor technique I used to make this background is by using the Stampin' Write markers, in this case the Subtles family, on a clear block F and spritzing it with some water. I stamped the spritzed clear block on a piece of Watercolor Paper and this is the result. After that I stamped the branches and flowers with the Flowers of Beauty stamp set. Before stamping I stamped it off 1 time to keep the same atmosphere of the subtle background. With the Sketched Butterflies dies I died a few butterflies and added these to the card. The text is from the Dutch stamp set "Markant omrand". 

Ik heb ook een versie gemaakt met de heldere kleurenfamilie van Stampin' Up!. Welke versie vind jij het mooist? Ik vind de keuze lastig hoor.

I also made a version of the card with the Brights color family of Stampin' Up!. Which one is your favorite? I find it hard to choose.
