Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. Het thema van deze maand is deze prachtige Sketch 108, gemaakt door Angie McKenzie.

Hi and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. The theme of this month is this Sketch 108 made by Angie McKenzie.

Omdat wij nog steeds Sale-A-Bration vieren en ik geen genoeg kan krijgen van de prachtige gratis producten, heb ik voor deze Sketch het super leuke Toadstool Gardens Design Papier gebruikt. Ik heb de Sketch letterlijk overgenomen en deze keer heb ik er niets aan toegevoegd.

Because we are still celebrating Sale-A-Bration and I just love to use the free products I used the super cute Toadstool Gardens Design Paper for this Sketch. I copied the Sketch itself and I didn't add anything to it this time.

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - color challenge

Hoi en welkom bij de Internationale Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. Deze maand hebben wij van Angie McKenzie een kleuren opdracht gekregen en dit zijn de kleuren die wij voor deze opdracht mochten gebruiken.

Hi and welcome to the International Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. This month Angie McKenzie gave us a color challenge. These are the colors we could use for this challenge.

Bij deze kleuren dacht ik gelijk aan de lente maar ik dacht ook gelijk aan een vel DSP uit het Bloemrijke Technieken design papier. Een vel in het zwart-wit dat ik mooi zou kunnen inkleuren met deze prachtige kleuren.

Looking at these colors I instantly thought about Spring. I also thought about a black and white sheet out of the Mixed Media Floral Design Paper pack so I could color it with these beautiful colors.

Dit is het vel DSP dat ik uitgekozen en ingekleurd heb. Ik heb er wel stiekem een extra kleurtje bij gepakt, want ik vond dat de achtergrond wel heel kaal bleef.

This is the sheet of DSP I have chosen and colored. Don't tell anybody, but I used an extra color. In my opinion the background was too white without this color hihi......

En dit is het eindresultaat. Is het niet prachtig geworden? Ik heb het DSP redelijk "slordig" ingekleurd, zodat het geheel wat speelser is gebleven. Ik heb voor het inkleuren de Stampin' Write Markers gebruikt. Wist jij dat je nu tijdens de Sale-A-Bration (t/m 28 februari) 2 sets Markers naar keuze mag uitzoeken als extraatje. En dit allemaal naast de al geweldige "reguliere" aanbieding. Heb je daar vragen over? Stuur mij dan gerust een mail.

And this is the end result. I really love it! I colored the DSP a little bit "messy". It turned out a little bit more playfull because of this. I used the Stampin' Write Markers this time.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - techniques

Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. Deze maand is het thema "techniek". Dit kan zijn een nieuwe techniek, een hele oude techniek die je nog nooit gedaan hebt of een techniek die je helemaal naar je eigen creativiteit hebt aangepast. Voor deze maand heb ik iets gekozen wat ik ooit wel gedaan heb, maar zeker niet op deze manier.

Hi and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. This month the theme is "technique". This can be something hot and trending, an old technique you never tried before or a technique you adapted completely to your own creativity. For this month I have chosen something I did some time ago, but certainly not this way.

Voor mijn kaartje heb ik de Stack and Whack technique gebruikt. Je neemt 3 stukken Design Papier naar keuze van 9 cm breed bij 13 cm hoog. Die zet je aan elkaar vast met een aantal paperclips en dan scheur je alle stukken tegelijkertijd in drieëen. Je combineert de stukken met elkaar en op deze manier onstaan er 3 verschillende achtergronden voor 3 leuke kaartjes.

For my cards I used the Stack and Whack technique. You cut 3 pieces of Design Paper with different designs (9 cm wide by 13 cm high). Put these pieces together with some paperclips and tear them all at the same time in three parts. Combine the pieces with each other and you have three amazing backgrounds for some beautiful cards.

Het enige wat je nog hoeft te doen is versieren. Ik heb wel dit soort kaartjes gemaakt, maar nog nooit door te scheuren. Wel door netjes te snijden. Wat vind jij het leukst?

The only thing left is decorating. I have made these kinds of cards earlier, but never by tearing them. I did make them by cutting neatly. What do you like best?

Around the World on Wednesday blog hop - Color challenge

Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. Als thema hebben wij een color challenge gekregen. We konden kiezen uit de volgende twee opties.

Hi and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. The theme of this month is a color challenge. We had to pick one of these options.

Ik heb gekozen voor de Traditionele kleuren. De opdracht was om met de gekozen kleuren kaarten te maken voor de feestdagen. Daar heb ik helemaal overheen gelezen en ik heb "gewone" kaarten gemaakt met deze kleuren. Sorry! Er was helaas geen tijd meer om andere kaarten te maken, dus ik dacht ik deel ze gewoon met jullie ter inspiratie. Ik ben heerlijk aan de slag gegaan met de kleuren geel, groen, rood en bruin en ik heb eerst een heel vel Basic White cardstock bestempeld.

I've chosen the Traditional Colors. Angie asked us to make cards for the holidays with these colors, but I did not read it correctly. I am so sorry! I made "normal" cards. There is no time left to make new cards, so I am sharing the wrong ones I made. I used the colors yellow, green, red and brown. First of all I stamped a piece of Basic White card stock.

Nadat ik dit bestempeld had, heb ik dit vel in vieren gesneden en daar heb ik de volgende kaarten mee gemaakt. Helaas geen Kerstkaarten, maar ik hoop dat jullie ze toch mooi vinden.

After I stamped the piece of Basic White card stock I cut it in 4 pieces and made these cards. Because I didn't read correctly these are not Christmas cards, but I hope you will like these for the inspiration.

Stamping INKspirations Blog hop - sketch

Hi and welcome to the International Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. Especially for this blog hop Angie McKenzie made this Sketch.

Je mag een Sketch 1 op 1 namaken, maar je mag er ook je eigen draai aan geven. De opdracht was wel om het fris en simpel te houden. Drie keer raden wat ik gedaan heb! Ik heb heerlijk 1 op 1 de Sketch nagemaakt en dit is mijn resultaat geworden.

You can copy the Sketch as it is or you can flip it if you want to, but we had to keep it fresh en clean. You may quess 3 times what I did. I loved to copy it one on one, so I didn't have to think about it. This is how my Sketch turned out.

Als basis voor de kleurencombinatie heb ik het Snowy Scenes Design Papier gebruikt. Misschien niet een combinatie die je snel zult maken, maar ik vind het prachtig. Een kleine tag met de tekst en een stukje Bakers Twine.

The color combination I got from the Snowy Scenes Design Paper. Maybe not the combination you normally make, but I just love it. I added just a small tag en a piece of Baker's Twine.

Is hij niet geweldig? Ik hou ervan om Sketches te gebruiken, gewoon omdat je dan soms niet alles zelf hoeft uit te denken. Je kunt de Sketch precies namaken of je kunt er je eigen draai aan geven. Ik heb het grotendeels nagemaakt. Heerlijk! Dit is mijn uitwerking.

Isn't the Sketch amazing. I love to use Sketches, just because I don't have to think of everything myself. You can copy the Sketch as it is, but you can also make it your own. This time I remade the Sketch. I just love it. This is my version.

Ik heb ervoor gekozen om een herfstachtige kaart te maken met in de hoofdrol het "Fijne tijden Designpapier"en de Choose Happy stempelset. Beide producten zijn voor veel gelegenheden te gebruiken.

I have chosen to make an autumny (is this an official word????) card with the "Iconic Celebrations" Design Paper and the Choose Happy stamp set. Both products you can use for lots of occasions.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - The way we were

Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. Het thema van deze maand is "The way we were". Ik heb het opgevat als een "walk around memory lane" op zijn goed Nederlands. Deze hop komt op 11 september online. Voor heel de wereld een bijzondere dag. Weet jij nog waar je was?

Hi and welcome to the Around The World on Wednesday Blog Hop. The theme of this month is "The way we were". I took it as a walk around memory lane. Today is a special day for a lot of people 9/11. Do you remember were you were?

Tuurlijk heeft 9/11 ook enorm indruk op mij gemaakt, maar na afgelopen mei nog meer. In mei zijn wij namelijk als gezin naar New York gegaan en uiteraard zijn wij ook langs Ground Zero gegaan. Zo indrukwekkend. Je wordt er echt heel stil van. Zo intens.

Ofcourse 9/11 had an impact on everyone, but last May even more. Last May we went to New York with our family and we visited Ground Zero. This was so impressive. It made me silent. It was so intense.

Met de herinneringen in gedachten heb ik deze kaart gemaakt. Zoals Ground Zero wilde ik de kaart sereen maken. Ik hoop dat dat een beetje gelukt is.

With the memories in mind I made this card. Just like Ground Zero I wanted to make my card serene. I hope I succeeded.

Voor deze kaart heb ik de Spotlight in Nature product pakket gebruikt. Ik heb de bloemen en bladeren heel licht gestempeld met Smokey Slate en daarna ingekleurd met de Stampin' Blends in de kleuren Soft Seafoam en Petal Pink.

For this card I used the Spotlight in Nature bundle. I stamped the flowers and leaves lightly with Smokey Slate and colored it with the Stampin' Blends in the colors Soft Seafoam and Petal Pink.
