Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - The way we were

Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. Het thema van deze maand is "The way we were". Ik heb het opgevat als een "walk around memory lane" op zijn goed Nederlands. Deze hop komt op 11 september online. Voor heel de wereld een bijzondere dag. Weet jij nog waar je was?

Hi and welcome to the Around The World on Wednesday Blog Hop. The theme of this month is "The way we were". I took it as a walk around memory lane. Today is a special day for a lot of people 9/11. Do you remember were you were?

Tuurlijk heeft 9/11 ook enorm indruk op mij gemaakt, maar na afgelopen mei nog meer. In mei zijn wij namelijk als gezin naar New York gegaan en uiteraard zijn wij ook langs Ground Zero gegaan. Zo indrukwekkend. Je wordt er echt heel stil van. Zo intens.

Ofcourse 9/11 had an impact on everyone, but last May even more. Last May we went to New York with our family and we visited Ground Zero. This was so impressive. It made me silent. It was so intense.

Met de herinneringen in gedachten heb ik deze kaart gemaakt. Zoals Ground Zero wilde ik de kaart sereen maken. Ik hoop dat dat een beetje gelukt is.

With the memories in mind I made this card. Just like Ground Zero I wanted to make my card serene. I hope I succeeded.

Voor deze kaart heb ik de Spotlight in Nature product pakket gebruikt. Ik heb de bloemen en bladeren heel licht gestempeld met Smokey Slate en daarna ingekleurd met de Stampin' Blends in de kleuren Soft Seafoam en Petal Pink.

For this card I used the Spotlight in Nature bundle. I stamped the flowers and leaves lightly with Smokey Slate and colored it with the Stampin' Blends in the colors Soft Seafoam and Petal Pink.

Around the World on Wednesday blog hop - Case a team member

Hoi en welkom bij de maandelijkse Internationale Around the World on Wednesday blog hop. Angie McKenzie heeft een super leuke opdracht voor ons verzonnen. Ze heeft mij gekoppeld aan de geweldige dames Aurélie Fabre uit Frankrijk en Kelly Taranto uit de US. Samen zijn wij tot onze favoriete ingredientenlijst voor een kaart gekomen aan de hand van deze foto gemaakt door Aurélie.

Hi and welcome to the monthly International Around the World on Wednesday blog hop. Angie McKenzie did think of an amazing assignment for us to do. She linked me to the amazing ladies Aurélie Fabre from France and Kelly Taranto from the US. Together we discussed how to make our card with the ingredients we like most. We used this photo from Aurélie to make our decision.

Aurélie houdt ervan om te embossen, Kelly gebruikt heel graag Design Papier en ik hou enorm van alle blauwtinten die wij in het assortiment hebben. Dit is het kaartje wat ik gemaakt met als basis mijn geliefde blauwe inkten.

Aurélie loves to emboss, Kelly loves to use Designer Series Paper en I love all blues from our collection.This is the first card I made with the blue inks I just love.

Voor deze kaart heb ik de prachtige achtergrondstempel Leaf Collection gebruikt. Deze stempel heb ik ingekleurd met de Stampin' Write Markers in de verschillende kleuren blauw. Daarna heb ik dit op een basiskaart van Balmy Blue geplakt, tekst toegevoegd en nog een paar geponste blaadjes toegevoegd. Een prachtige kaart voor de beginnende stempelaar.

For this card I used the gorgeous background stamp Leaf Collection. I colored the stamp itself with the Stampin' Write Markers in different colors of blue. After that I glued it to a base card in Balmy Blue, added a text and some leaves I punched. A great card for a Beginner card maker.

Daarna heb ik dezelfde kaart nog eens gemaakt, maar nu heb ik een stuk Design Papier toegevoegd wat Kelly zo graag gebruikt. Deze keer heb ik Night of Navy cardstock gebruikt om de basiskaart te maken. Dit is een kaartje wat goed te maken is voor de "gemiddelde" stempelaar.

After that I made the same card, but now I added a piece of Designer Series Paper which Kelly loves to use. This time I used Night of Navy card stock to make the base card. This card is easy to make for the "average" stamper.

Voor de laatste kaart heb ik wat embossing toegevoegd. Dit is wat Aurélie heel graag doet. Ik heb het bestempelde stuk cardstock door een embossingfolder gehaald, maar helaas is dat niet zo heel goed te zien op de foto. Onderaan de kaart kun je het heel lichtjes zien op de foto. Het geeft net wat meer dimensie aan de kaart. Dit kaartje heeft verschillende technieken en is ideaal om gemaakt te worden door de gevorderde stempelaar.

For this card I added some embossing. Aurélie loves to emboss! I dry embossed the piece of card stock which I stamped, but unfortunately you hardly can see it on the photo. You can see it slightly on the bottom of the card. It is just giving some extra dimension to the card. For this card I used different techniques and is amazing to make for the more advanced stamper.

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - funfold

Hoi en welkom bij de Stamping INKspirations blog hop. Deze internationale blog hop wordt georganiseerd door de geweldige en super aardige Angie McKenzie uit Amerika. Het thema van deze maand is Fun Folds. Nou dat is geen straf hoor. Ik hou er enorm van om fun folds te maken. Dit is mijn kaart.

Deze kaart heb ik jaren geleden voorbij zien komen bij een Nederlandse collega demo Annette Elias van de Kijkkast. Destijds heb ik de foto opgeslagen om hem op een later moment nog een keertje te maken. Onlangs was ik op zoek naar leuke fun folds voor mijn Stamp Along Workshop Thuis-Editie en toen zag ik deze weer voorbij komen. Op het eerste oog lijkt het op een gewoon kaartje maarrr......

Years ago I saw this card of one of my Dutch fellow demo's Annette Elias from the Kijkkast. I saved the photo so I could make this card myself someday. Just recently I was looking for some nice fun folds for my Stamp Along Workshop Thuis-Editie and I saw my saved photo. At first sight it just looks like a normal card, but..............

.... als je hem open maakt, dan zie je dit! Is deze pop-up niet geweldig? Wauw! Het ziet er super ingewikkeld uit, maar neem het maar van mij aan het is echt wel te doen. Deze fun fold zal ik zeker wat vaker gaan maken.

.... when you open the card you see this! Isn't this pop-up amazing? Wow! It looks like this card is hard to make, but take it from me it is very doable (is that a word?). For sure I will make this fun fold more often.

Around the World on Wednesday - dit of dat!

Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday blog hop. Het thema van deze maand is "Dit of Dat". Een super leuk thema waar je alle kanten mee op kunt. Je kunt dezelfde kaarten maken, maar dan ander papier gebruiken. Je kunt dezelfde kaarten maken, maar dan net met een andere vouw of je kunt dezelfde kaarten maken, maar dan een ander techniek gebruiken. Voor deze maand heb ik één van mijn favoriete funfolds gemaakt. Dit is het eerste kaartje.

Hi and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. The theme of this month is "This or That". This is a great theme, because the options are countless. You can make the same cards but use different papers. You can make the same cards, but make a different fold OR you can make the same cards but use a different technique. For this month I made one of my favorite fun fold cards. This is my first card.

Voor deze kaart heb ik de stempelset gebruikt om in verschillende kleuren de achtergrond te stempelen. Het is net of je je eigen Design Papier maakt. De rest heb ik eenvoudiger gehouden met alleen maar de tag en wat tekst. Om het helemaal af te maken heb ik uiteraard de Wink of Stella gebruikt. Je opent de kaart als volgt.

For this card I used the stamp set to stamp the background in different colors. It is just like making your own Design Paper. The rest of the card I kept basic. Just a tag with a text. To give the card something extra I of course used the Wink of Stella. You open the card like this.

Als je de funfold ietsjes omgooit en de kaart als staand model maakt ipv een liggend model, dan krijg je deze kaart. De funfold is in principe hetzelfde, alleen heb ik nu de afbeeldingen van de stempelset gebruikt om uit te knippen en om hiermee mijn kaart te versieren.

If you change the fun fold just a little bit and make a portrait card instead of a landscape card you will get this card. The fun fold is exactly the same, but for this card I used the stamped images and cut them out to decorate the card.

De funfold zelf is heel eenvoudig te maken. Maak een standaard kaart (staand of liggend) en snij een strook van 2 cm van de voorkant van de kaart. Gebruik deze strook om het 'mechanisme" te maken.

The fun fold is very easy to make. You just make a standard card (portrait or landscape) and you just cut a piece of 2 centimeters from the front of the card. This piece you can use to make the fold.
