Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - inspired by Jan Clothier

 

Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. Het thema van deze maand is de "faux torn paper mask background", een lievelingstechniek van Jan Clothier. Bij deze techniek gebruikt Jan een stuk kopieerpapier om te dienen als een maskering. Jan is een Alumnae van het Artisan Team. Ze maakt echt de prachtigste projecten. 

Hi and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. The theme of this month is the Faux Torn Paper Mask Background, a favorite technique of Jan Clothier. With this technique you use a piece of copy paper as a mask. Jan is an alumnae of the Artisan Team and she makes the most beautiful projects. 

De achtergrond van deze kaart heb ik helemaal gemaakt volgens de techniek van Jan. Het is echt super leuk om te doen en ik ben heel blij met het eindresultaat. Voor deze kaart heb ik het Sweet Bugs product pakket gebruikt. Zijn ze niet schattig?

I made the background of this card according to the technique of Jan. It is so nice to do this and I am very happy with the endresults. For this card I used the Sweet Bugs product collection. Aren't they cute?

Ik vond het zo leuk om met deze techniek aan de gang te gaan, dat ik er meerdere variaties van heb gemaakt in verschillende kleurencombinaties. 

I liked this technique so much that I made several cards with it. All with different color combinations.

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - Sketch january 2026

 

Hoi en welkom bij de Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. Dit is de eerste van het nieuwe jaar en als thema hebben wij de volgende Sketch ontvangen. Daarbij kregen wij ook  nog de opdracht om glitter toe te voegen. 

Hi and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. This is the first hop  of the year and the theme of this month is the Sketch below including some glitter. 

Het is een eenvoudige Sketch, dus ik heb mijn kaart ook eenvoudig gehouden. De extra opdracht Glitter was wel even een uitdaging. Ik heb echt genoeg materiaal, maar ik blijk dus niet zoveel Glitter papier te bezitten. Normaal gesproken los ik dit dan op door Tear & Tape te gebruiken in combinatie met glitter, maar door de feestdagen had ik niet meer de goede kleuren glitter heen. Ik heb nog wat Glitter Papier gevonden, maar deze is helaas wel retired. Mijn excuses hiervoor. Uiteraard heb ik wel op de gehele kaart mijn Wink of Stella gebruikt, maar helaas is dat moeilijk te zien op de foto. 

It is a simple sketch, so I tried to keep my card simple. The glitter part appeared to be a small challenge. It happens to be that I don't have any glitter paper in my stash. Normally I solve that problem by using some Tear & Tape in combination with some loose glitter, but after the holidays I don't have any glitter anymore in complementing colors. I found some glitter papier, but unfortunately it is retired. My apologies for this. Ofcourse I used my Wink of Stella all over this card, but that is hard to catch on a photo. 

Voor deze kaart heb ik het Endless Love product pakket gebruikt om de hartjes te stansen en de "love" te stempelen. Ook heb ik het Made With Love Design Papier gebruikt en een strookje retired Glitter papier in de kleur Pretty in Pink. Ook heb ik de losse Valentijnsassortiment gebruikt.

For this card I used the Endless Love bundle to die-cut the hearts and to stamp the "love". I also used the Made with Love Design Paper and a little piece of retired Glitter Paper in the color Pretty in Pink. I also used the Loose Valentine's assortment.

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - Sounds of the seasons

 

Hoi en welkom bij de Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! Het thema van deze maand is Sounds of the Seasons. Oftewel waar denk jij aan rond deze tijd van het jaar. Het is nog maar een kleine 2 weken tot Kerst. Ik ben in de gelukkige omstandigheid dat ik dat samen met dierbaren en familie mag vieren. 

Hi and welcom to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! The thema of this month is the Sounds of the Seasons. It is almost Christmas. I am lucky I can celebrate Christmas with family and my loved ones. 

De kerstdagen staat bij ons in het teken van samen zijn, spelletjes spelen maar ook samen eten. Voor op tafel heb ik deze naambordjes gemaakt. Ik werd geïnspireerd door de ster kaarten die je overal online ziet. Ik heb de ster verkleind en hierdoor ontstond er een ideale mogelijkheid om het kaartje netjes rechtop te zetten. 

With Christmas we love to be together, play games and also eat together. I made the name cards to put on the table. I was inspired by the star cards you see everywhere online. I made the star smaller and it ended up to be the solutions to let the cards stand up straight. 

Daarnaast heb ik ook een "doosje" ontworpen om je bestek in te stoppen. Dat zal er prachtig uit zien als de hele tafel gedekt is. 

I also designed a "box" to put in your cutlery. I will look amazing on the Christmas table.

Hi and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. The theme of this month is funfold with a technique inspired by Tina Zinck - MacDonald. I was inspired by this card form Tina. 

In dit kaartje laat Tina de Bursted Canvas techniek zien. Hoe leuk is dat? Ik heb met de Jolly Delivery Design Papier dit kaartje gemaakt. 

With this card Tina shows us the technique Bursted Canvas. Isn't this amazing? I used the Jolly Delivery Design Papier for my card. 

Het is echt super leuk om te maken. Maar nu hoor ik je denken, maar Danielle dit is helemaal geen funfold? Maar dat is niet zo. Kijk maar!

It is really fun to make. But now I hear you thinking "Danielle this is not a funfold?" But I can assure you, it is!!

Hoi en welkom bij de Around the World on Wednesday blog hop. Voor deze maand mochten wij een project naar keuze CASEN van Sharon Hashimoto Burkert. Het was moeilijk kiezen, maar ik heb onderstaand project uitgezocht. 

Hi and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesdasy blog hop. This month we can CASE a project of the amazing Sharon Hashimoto Burkert. It was hard to pick just one out of all the beautifull project, but this is the project I cased. 

Toen ik door Sharon's blog scrolde, viel mijn oog gelijk op deze Sketch. Wat een superleuke combinatie van verschillende producten. Dit is mijn versie geworden.

When I scrolled through Sharon's blog my eyes where inmediately drawn to this Sketch. What an amazing combination of different products. This is my version of the card.

Ik heb er een kerstversie van gemaakt. Is hij niet geweldig geworden? Sharon dankjewel voor je inspiratie. Een aantal producten die Sharon gebruikt heeft, heb ik zelf niet, maar met een beetje creativiteit heb ik goede vervangers gevonden. Dus zie je een kaartje, maar heb je niet alle producten om deze te maken? Kijk dan in je eigen spullen om te zien of je iets soortgelijks hebt. 

I made a Christmas version out of it. I really love how it turned out, don't you? Sharon thank you very much for the inspiration. I did not have alle the products Sharon used, but with some creativity a found some good replacements. So when you want to CASE a card yourself but you do not have al the products needed? Please check your own products to see if you have something similar.

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - kleurenchallenge

Hoi en welkom bij de Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. Voor deze maand heeft Angie McKenzie de volgende kleurenuitdaging verzonnen.

Hi and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. For this month Angie McKenzie made this color challenge for us. 

De kleuren die wij mochten gebruiken zijn van links naar rechts: Soft Seafoam, Old Olive, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather en Pecan Pie. Een prachtige kleurencombinatie. Met al deze kleuren heb ik eerst mijn eigen Design Papier gemaakt. Ik heb hiervoor de exclusieve stempelset gebruikt die je momenteel bij de 12 dagen Adventkalender ontvangt. 

The colors we are "allowed" to use are (from left to right): Soft Seafoam, Old Olive, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Pecan Pie. It is an amazing color combination. I used all the colors to make my own Design Paper. I used the stamp set you get with our 12 days of Advent Calendar.

Ik heb er deze keer bewust voor gekozen om een half vel A4 Basic White cardstock te bestempelen, maar achteraf gezien had dit makkelijk een heel vel kunnen worden. Ik heb dit stuk in tweeën gesneden en als eerste heb ik een eenvoudige kaart gemaakt waarbij het bestempelde stuk cardstock in de hoofdrol staat. 

I have chosen to stamp half a sheet of Basic White cardstock but I easily could have stamped a whole sheet. I cut this piece of cardstock in two and with the first piece I made a beginner card. Just to but the stamped background in the spotlight it earns. 

Voor de tweede kaart heb ik eerst precies dezelfde kaart gemaakt en daarna heb ik wat gestanste bloemen en blaadjes toegevoegd. Ik heb wat embellishments op de bloemen gedaan en als laatste heb ik mijn Wink of Stella gebruikt om de kaart wat extra glitter mee te geven. 

For my second card I made exactly the same card but I added some cut flowers and leaves. I added some embellishments to the flowers and I used my Wink of Stella for some glitter.

Hoi en welkom bij de Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. Het thema van deze maand is een Tic Tac Toe oftwel een Boter Kaas en Eieren. We mochten kiezen uit een horizontale lijn, verticale lijn een diagonaal of misschien wel een hele kaart. 

Hi and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. The theme of this month is a Tic Tac Toe (as we call it in the Netherlands Boter Kaas en Eieren. Literally translated that will be Butter, Cheese and Eggs. (I really don't know why it is like that hihi.... I googled it, but is is unknown).  We could choose from a horizontal row, a vertical row, a diagonal or even everything. 

Dit is de kaart welke ik gemaakt heb. Het is denk ik wel duidelijk waar ik begonnen ben, maar weet jij ook welke rij ik gekozen heb?

This is the card I made. It is easy to see where I started my row, but do you see which way I went?

Kun jij zien welke rijtje het is? Juist. Ik heb de diagonaal Oranje - Lagen - Scheuren gekozen. Ik heb eerst een stuk cardstock bestempeld met de Impressions Abloom stempelset in alle kleuren oranje die wij hebben. Ik heb Pumpkin Pie, Peach Pie en Timid Tiger gebruikt. 

Can you see which row I chose? Correct. I chose the diagonal Orange - Layers - Torn. I started with stamping a piece of card stock with the Impressions Abloom stamp set in all our orange colors. I used Pumpkin Pie, Peach Pie and Timid Tiger. 

Oranje is niet een kleur dat ik vaak gebruik en ik weet niet zo heel goed wat ik van de kaart moet vinden. Het is wel heel leuk om eens zo'n uitdaging aan te gaan. Iets anders dan je comfortzone. 

Orange is not my color and I don't use it very often. I don't know what to think of the card, but is nice to do a challenge like this. Far out of my comfortzone.
