Global Creative INKspirations blog hop - Snailed it!

Hi and welcome to the Global Creative INKspirations Blog Hop. Today, Angie McKenzie from America and I would love to give you some inspiration with the amazing Snailed It Suite.

Stampin' Up! Snailed It Suite

Last monday we organised a SOL (Stamp On Line) within our team and my dear team member Jenny Menthen from Paper Power learned us step by step how we had to make this fun fold card. She just started a YouTube channel and soon she will make a YouTube tutorial. That is why I won't give you any directions, but I just wanted to show you, because I really love how it turned out!

Stampin' Up! Snailed It Suite

For the base card I used my favorite Stampin' Up! color Bermuda Bay. Of course this perfectly matches with the amazing Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. This DSP is amazing in combination with the Snailed It bundle (the Snailed It stamp set and the Snail Dies). Do you not have this bundle? No problem. By cutting out the snails out of the DSP for example you can use these to make super cute projects. The snail on the front of the card I colored in with the Stampin' Blends in the colors Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Real Red.

You could have seen it on the pictures above, but if you open the card you see this.

You've got mail - Around The World On Wednesday Blog Hop

Welkom bij de maandelijkse Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop.

Welcome to the monthly Around The World on Wednesday Blog hop. This month we are hopping with 19 Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the the world! Isn't that amazing! The theme of this month is "You've got mail".

At the sentence "You've got mail" I directly had to think of the amazing Snail Mail Suite. A bundle with cute snails, just adorable to work with. It normally is so much fun to get a card in the mail, but when there is a surprise inside it is extra fun. I made this card for someone special. Just to let them know that I am proud of how they are coping with everything. It is hard, but they manage.

Stampin' Up! Snail Mail suite

I made a gate-fold card with a piece of card stock of 21 cm by 14,5 cm. With the long side up I scored both sides at 5,25 cm. If you fold the card stock you have a gate-fold card. To decorate the front of the card I cut two pieces Snail Mail Designer Series Paper of 4,8 cm by 14 cm.

To decorate the inside of the card I cut two pieces of the DSP of 4,8 cm by 14 cm (for the left and right side). For the piece in the middle I cut a piece of DSP of 10 cm by 14 cm. With the Stitched Shapes Dies I cut two squares out of Basic White card stock. I stamped both pieces with the Snailed It stamp set and colored it with the Stampin' Blends.
To make the pop-up I cut two pieces of card stock of 12,7 cm by 2,5 cm and scored it at 2,5 cm - 5 cm  and 10,2 cm. To make the left pop-up I took one of the pieces and put it down (in the middle of the card) just against the left scoring line with the one square on the left (the two squares are on the right side). I put some glue on the square and shut the left 'flap' of the card. It is now adhered. After opening the card I folded the most right square to the back and put some glue on it. If you push it down the mechanism is now ready. Now you can glue the decorated square onto the mechanism. For the other square you can repeat this but then in opposite direction, so on the right side.

Last but not least I made a Belly Band for the card. For this I used a piece of Basic White card stock of 24,5 cm by 3,5 cm en I scored it at 8,8 cm and 19,5 cm. I folded this piece around the card en glued it together. On top of this I used a piece of Basic White card stock of 7 cm by 9 cm and I decorated this with a piece of Blushing Bride of 6,5 cm by 6,5 cm and a colored in snail. You can also cut a snail out of the DSP. I glued everything on the card stock like a Polaroid Photo.
