Omdat deze Blog Highlights internationaal zijn, zal ik mijn blog ook in mijn beste engels schrijven.
Vacation is over and I would love to participate in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights again. The theme is Encouragement. For this occasion I made a card for one of my sweet team mates to let her know how special she is. My native language is Dutch, but because the Blog Highlights are International I will try to translate everything in my best of English.
Voor dit kaartje heb ik de prachtige grote magnolia uit de Good Morning Magnolia stempelset genomen en deze heb ik met Smokey Slate inkt op een stuk Vellum gestempeld. Daarna heb ik er een foam matje onder gelegd en heb ik met de Stylus van de Take Your Pick tool de lijnen overgetrokken. Dit is een manier van Dry Embossing. Ik heb geprobeerd de tekening zo goed mogelijk over te nemen.
For this card I took the big magnolia stamp from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and I stamped it with Smokey Slate ink on a piece of Vellum. After stamping the image I put the Vellum on a foam mat and draw the lines with the Stylus of the Take Your Pick Tool. This is a way of Dry Embossing and I tried to not miss a spot.
Toen ik alles overgetrokken had, heb ik de magnolia en de bladeren ingekleurd met de Stampin' Blends Markers in de kleuren Petal Pink en Old Olive. Omdat je lijm door het vellum blijft zien, heb ik het Vellum op een iets kleinere mat Whisper White gelegd en heb ik de randen omgevouwen en aan de achterkant vastgeplakt. Dit heb ik in zijn geheel op een Crumb Cake basiskaart geplakt.
When I draw everything with the Stylus I colored the magnolia and the leaves with the Stampin' Blends Markers in the colors Petal Pink and Old Olive. If you glue Vellum to card stock it is possible to see the glue behind it. So I took a smaller piece of Whisper White card stock and I folded the sides of the Vellum a little bit and glued it to the back of the card stock. After that I glued the whole piece to a basic card of Crumb Cake.
De tekst uit de stempelset heb ik heat embost met witte embossingpoeder op een strookje Basic Black cardstock. Dit geheel heb ik met Stampin' Dimensionals op de kaart geplakt. Om het geheel af te maken heb ik Pearl Basic Jewels genomen en op het Vellum geplakt.
The text I heat embossed with white emboss powder on a piece of Basic Black card stock. With some Stampin' Dimensionals I stuck this piece on the card. To give the card something extra I added some Pear Basic Jewels to the Vellum.
