Global Creative INKspirations Blog Hop - nieuwe catalogus

Hi and welcome to our monthly Global Creative INKspirations Blog Hop! The theme of this month is the new catalog. Today I used the Floral Essence stamp set for an amazing technique. This Split Card technique I saw at the wonderful Jennifer McGuire. This is my project.

Stampin' Up! Floral Essence

Perhaps you can see what I mean with Split Card technique. With this technique you make two cards in one go. You take a piece of Whisper White of 19 cm by 13,5 cm and in the middle of the long side (at 9,5 cm) you draw a line with a pencil. This line helps you to place the flowers and leaves.

With the Floral Essene stamp set I stamped a few flowers in Bermuda Bay and a few leaves with Soft Seafoam. I fussy cut them and placed them on the line on the card.

After that I cut the piece of card stock in half with my Paper Trimmer at 9,5 cm. Now you have to matt's for two different cards to make. With the Well Written Dies I die cut the text and glued it to a piece of Whisper White. After that I cut around the dies to make a kind of shadow effect.

These are the finished cards. For the background I used a matt of Basic Black card stock to make some contrast. And to add some glimmer I used some Basic Rhinestones.
