Hoi en welkom bij de Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop. Het thema van deze maand is "moments of joy... smiles filled with love, laughter or tears". Tja, hoe ga ik dit voor jullie vertalen. Een moment waar je met liefde aan terug denkt met iemand speciaal. Ik heb voor mijn project iemand heel speciaal in de hoofdrol gezet en wel onze lieve Indy.

Hi and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop. The theme of this month is "moments of joy.... smiles filled with love, laughter or tears". For my project I put someone very special to me in the spotlights. Our dear Indy.

Dit is onze lieve Indy. Indy is bijna 14 jaar oud en ze begint echt een "oude" dame te worden. Ze is onze grote knuffelkont en vooral in de tijd dat ik zelf ziek ben geweest en door de chemo veel op de bank doorbracht, was o.a. zij mijn steun en toeverlaat. Ze wist precies, en dat weet ze nog steeds, wanneer ik het moeilijk had en dan kwam ze altijd even een knuffel geven.

This is our dear Indy. Indy is almost 14 years old and she is becoming an "old" lady. She is our big cuddle ass (I am sorry if this is not correct, but this is what Google translate gave me hihi...). Some years ago I was very ill and because of the chemo's I spent a lot of hours on the couch not able to do anything. These where the times when she was there for me. She knew exactly, and she still does, when I had a hard time and there she was to cuddle me.

En nu is het tijd om extra, extra, extra voor haar te zorgen. Net voordat wij op vakantie gingen, zakte ze in elkaar en zijn we gaan onderzoeken wat er met haar aan de hand was. Helaas zijn we erachter gekomen dat ze chronisch nierfalen heeft. Ze zit in stadium 4 van de 5, dus dat was behoorlijk schrikken geblazen. Normaal gesproken zou ze over kunnen op speciaal dieetvoeding om het voor haar wat makkelijker te maken (genezen is helaas niet meer mogelijk), maar die krijgt zij al ivm de allergieen die ze heeft. Als we zouden switchen, dan zou ze weer ontzettende jeuk gaan krijgen en dat willen wij haar op haar leeftijd natuurlijk niet aandoen. Op dit moment doet ze het heel goed, gelukkig, maar we houden haar goed in de gaten. En heeft ze een keertje haar dag niet? Dan zorgen wij ervoor dat het haar aan niets ontbreekt. Het kan zijn, dat ze nog heel lang onder ons is, en dat hopen we ook, maar elke verandering moeten we in de gaten houden.

And now it is time to take extra, extra, extra care of her. Right before we went on our holiday, she collapsed and the veterinarian investigated what was wrong with her. Unfortunately she told us Indy has chronic renal failure. She is in stage 4 of 5, so this really was bad news. Normally we could give her special food for this to give her some support (unfortunately it is not possible to cure), but because she already gets special food for her allergies we have to choose. If we stop the allergy food, her whole body will itch and we won't do that to her at this age. We have to make it as comfortable for her as we can. At the moment she is really doing well. We are very happy about that, but we will keep a close eye on her. And if she has an off day? We will take extra care of her and spoil her a bit, or perhaps a lot hihi.... It is possible she will be here for a long time, and of course we really hope that, but we have to monitor every change.

Voor deze scrap pagina heb ik de Sweet Stockings Suite gebruikt. De pootjes heb ik gemaakt met de Pet Dies en de letters heb ik gestanst met de Playful Alphabet. Ik ben super blij met dit aandenken en ik hoop dat ik er nog heel veel mag maken de aankomende jaren.

For this scrap page I used the Sweet Stockings Suite. The paws I made with the Pet Dies and for the letters I used the Playful Alphabet. I am happy I made this page and I hope I will make lots more of her the next few years.
